The Amazing History of Southend and Ice Cream

When Judith Williams visited on August 13th to share stories about the Amazing History of Southend the children who attended the session were treated to fun and games linked to the idea of Ice Cream in the borough. Judith shared fun facts about the history of Ice Cream overall before telling us about the Rossi family settling in the town. She also brought a pairing game along, for us all to play.

After a Q&A and signing, we all retreated to The Lighthouse to share an ice cream themed activity from our new favourite Activity Book – The Crafty History Activity Book. We travelled back to prehistory and made Ice Cream Volcanoes, who knew pre-history could be so tasty.
